Born Barbara Jean Blank-Coba on January 15, 1987, in Jacksonville, Florida, she is of Caucasian ethnicity and Jewish-American heritage. She debuted in 2006 at age 19, making her the youngest Diva in WWE at the time. Her journey into wrestling began when WWE official John Laurinaitis spotted her working as a model. After signing a contract in May 2006, she trained at Ohio Valley Wrestling, balancing a weekly commute to Louisville, Kentucky, while she was called up to the main roster. She also made appearances in Florida Championship Wrestling and competed in her first match at a September 2006 television taping, a women's battle royal.
