Kelli Giddish is an American actress best known for her portrayal of Detective Amanda Rollins on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Born on April 13, 1980, in Cumming, Georgia, she grew up in a supportive family. Her paternal grandfather took her to the Fox Theatre, sparking her interest in acting, and her maternal grandmother encouraged her as well. In high school, she was active in community theater under the guidance of Yatesy Harvey, who inspired her with high standards and a deep dedication to the craft. Giddish also excelled in sports, playing on her school's championship softball team and winning the State Literary Champion for Girls Dramatic Interpretation in 1998.

Giddish studied theater performance at the University of Evansville, where her parents attended every college production. After graduating, she moved to New York City and within a year appeared in a Broadway play alongside Farrah Fawcett. Her early career included a role as Diana Henry on the soap opera All My Children from 2005 to 2007. She appeared in the film Death in Love (2008) and the web series The Burg, which was credited as the first scripted webseries. In 2009, she was cast in the Fox series Past Life, which was canceled after a short run, and then in 2010 she starred in the NBC drama Chase, playing U.S. Marshal Annie Frost.

In 2011, Giddish joined the cast of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit as Detective Amanda Rollins. She first guest-starred in the episode "Outsider" in 2007, then became a regular in the thirteenth season. Her character, who came from Atlanta, quickly became a fan favorite. Over eleven seasons, Rollins grew from a detective to a second-grade detective, and her personal storylines, including marriages and motherhood, were integrated into the show. Giddish's final episode as a regular was "And a Trauma in a Pear Tree," in which Rollins married and left the unit to teach, though she later returned as a guest star.

Outside of SVU, Giddish appeared in music videos, including "Nadine" by Project Jenny, Project Jan and "All Love Is Lost" by Body Count, her co-star Ice-T's band. In her personal life, she married Lawrence Faulborn in 2015 and had two sons, Ludo and Charlie. She later married Beau Richards in 2021 and had a third son, Oldie. Her pregnancies were written into the show. She stands 5'7" with blonde hair and blue eyes, and she has an average build with natural measurements of 35-24-35. She is Caucasian. At 46 years old, with over two decades in the industry, Giddish remains a respected figure in television.
