Katie Sandwina

Austrian-born Katie Sandwina, originally Katharina Brumbach, was a circus strongwoman and former weightlifter. She stood 6'0" tall and weighed 185 lbs, with a muscular build that matched her profession. Her brown hair and brown eyes were natural, and so was her figure. Sandwina performed in an era when women in strength sports were rare. She died on 21 January 1952 at the age of 67, leaving a legacy as one of the few female strongwomen of her time.
