About Katarina Van Derham
Katarina Van Derham, born Katarina Ambrusova on December 11, 1975, in Ľubochňa, Slovakia, is a Slovak actress, glamour model, and YouTuber. She came to the United States in 1998 with just $500, having already studied at Stredna Priemyselna Skola Textilna in Slovakia and Oxford University in England. Her surname came from a brief marriage to James Van Der Ham, and being vegan, she joked about changing the spelling so the word "ham" wouldn't stand alone.
Her modeling career started in 2002 when a photographer discovered her waitressing in Santa Monica. She has since appeared in over 20 national and international commercials and more than 60 magazine covers. She became the longest-serving St. Pauli Girl for a two-year reign, selected through a readers' poll on Maxim's website, and also played the Snow Queen in Coors beer ads. Van Derham has been voted among the 100 sexiest women in the world by magazines on three continents.
In 2012, she founded Viva Glam Magazine, an online publication covering fashion, beauty, wellness, travel, entertainment, and food with an ethical focus. The magazine gained early press for its Sexiest Power Woman of All Time award, and by September 2016 it drew 4.5 million monthly views. Van Derham expanded into video with "The 90s Girl" docu-series in 2017 and the "MODELS Talk" web series in 2018. In February 2018, she launched the Glamour Garden limited edition lipstick collection with LA Splash. As of December 2025, she has 203,000 Instagram followers and 31,300 YouTube subscribers.
