Kat Von D, born Katherine von Drachenberg on March 8, 1982, in Montemorelos, Mexico, is a Mexican-American tattoo artist, television personality, entrepreneur, and recording artist. She gained fame as a tattoo artist on TLC's reality show LA Ink. Her parents, missionaries for the Seventh-day Adventist Church, were born in Argentina and have German, Italian, Spanish, and Indigenous roots. In February 2018, she married artist Rafael Reyes, and their son was born in November 2018. She formerly headed Kat Von D Beauty, now KVD Vegan Beauty, and released her debut single "Exorcism" from the album Love Made Me Do It in May 2021. At 5'8" with black hair and brown eyes, she has an extensive tattoo collection and a large following on Instagram.
