Kat Gunn

Kat Gunn, known online as Mystik, is an American gamer and model who first earned fame as a competitive esports player. She won the second season of WCG Ultimate Gamer on the Syfy Channel and competed in the Championship Gaming Series, which aired on DirecTV. Her tournament earnings put her in the Guinness World Records 2016 Gamer's Edition as the highest-earning female gamer, with reported earnings of over $160,000 since 2007 when her CGS salaries are included.

Gunn grew up in the Antelope Valley area of California, mainly in Lancaster and Palmdale, with her parents and older siblings. Her family's shared love of gaming meant they spent hours playing the original EverQuest together. Her parents also owned a comic book and trading card store in Canoga Park, which fueled her interest in games and trading card games. That access led to a love for Magic: The Gathering and occasional play of the Pokémon trading card game.

When Xbox Live launched, Gunn was one of the original beta testers. She quickly climbed the leaderboards in MechAssault's Wild Chicken mode, and she also played Crimson Skies: High to Revenge. Today, at 37, she's active on YouTube and Twitch, and she has 39k Instagram followers. She's petite at 5'2" with a slim build, green eyes, and brown hair. A large sword tattoo spans her back. Her career spans nearly two decades, from competitive gaming to content creation.
