Biography

About Karen Price

Edited by the community

Karen Price is a former American actress, adult model, and stuntwoman who built a varied career across several entertainment fields. She was born in Pasadena, California, and grew up with a background in gymnastics, working as a personal gymnastics coach and a children's gymnastics teacher before entering the modeling world.

Her big break came when she became Playboy's Playmate of the Month for January 1981, a title also recognized in several international editions of the magazine. That particular Playboy issue is historically notable because it contained one of the last interviews with John Lennon, conducted months before his death in late 1980. After her Playmate status, Price moved into acting, but soon shifted to performing stunts in over 27 films, including Police Academy 2, The Golden Child, Leonard Part 6, and Old Gringo, where she doubled for Jane Fonda. She also made a subtle cameo of sorts in The Road Warrior when her centerfold appeared on a gyrocopter's tailfin.

Later, after a hiatus, she began producing television programs such as Amazing Vacation Homes and Amazing Babies. With a slim build, brown hair, and brown eyes, and a natural 30H bra cup, she stood 5'5" and weighed 123 lbs. Her time in front of the camera may have ended in 1997, but her varied career left its mark.
