Japanese singer and lyricist Kanon Fukuda has spent over two decades in Japan's idol scene. Born in Kawagoe, Saitama, Japan, she began her career in 2004 as a member of Hello Pro Egg before rising to fame as an original member of the Hello! Project group ANGERME, formerly known as S/mileage. Over the years, she also participated in groups such as Shugo Chara Egg!, Shin Minimoni, and HI-FIN. In 2015, she graduated from ANGERME and Hello! Project to focus on writing lyrics, leaving UP-FRONT PROMOTION in 2020. She then joined the group ZOCX under the stage name Maro Kannagi, later using the katakana form カンナギマロ, and stayed until March 31, 2024.
