Biography
About June Palmer
June Palmer was a British pin up model, actress and exotic dancer. Born on August 1, 1940, in London, England, she began her career in 1957, at around 16 years old, and remained active for two decades. Her distinctive measurements of 38-23-37, along with her natural 34DD bust, made her a sought-after subject in the 1960s. She stood 5'3" and weighed 115 lbs, with an average build and brown hair.
At 17, she posed for Kamera and Solo with photographer Harrison Marks, work for which she is best remembered. Marks almost turned her away due to her constant giggling during test shots, finding her impossible to work with at first. She also worked with Russell Gay. Beyond magazine work, June appeared in minor film roles, including The Amorous Adventures of Moll Flanders and Taste the Blood of Dracula. When she stopped modeling for magazines in 1970 at age 30, she continued private work for camera clubs around London for a few years. In 1977, at age 37, she returned to magazine pages with a nude photo shoot for Mayfair.
Her personal life included a marriage to Arthur Howell, a photographer and stuntman 25 years her senior, when she was 53. Together they ran Strobe Studio in Clapham, South London, as a modeling agency. The marriage lasted less than ten years, ending in divorce in 2000. She married again later, though details are scarce. June passed away on January 6, 2004, at age 63.
