Julie Marie Berman was born on November 3, 1983, in Los Angeles, California. She is an American actress of Caucasian ethnicity, with blonde hair and brown eyes. Standing at 5'3" and weighing 117 lbs, she has a slim build with measurements of 31–23–33 and a natural 36B bust. Berman started acting at age six and has been active in the industry since 1997, spanning 29 years.

She made her television debut with a recurring role on the WB family drama 7th Heaven, playing the misunderstood Shelby Connor. While on that show, she also appeared in the ABC drama Once and Again and guest-starred on ER and Boston Public. In 1999, she starred alongside Shelley Long in the TV movie Vanished Without a Trace. Her most notable role came in 2005 when she joined General Hospital as Lulu Spencer, the stubborn daughter of Luke and Laura. The casting drew attention because of her resemblance to Genie Francis, who played Laura. She remained on the soap until 2013, winning three Daytime Emmy Awards for her performance. Frequently asked

How did her resemblance to Genie Francis affect her role on General Hospital?

Casting Berman as Lulu Spencer drew attention because she strongly resembled Genie Francis, who played Lulu's mother Laura. The show even incorporated this resemblance into the storyline.

Why did her General Hospital role span from 2005 to 2013?

She joined the soap in October 2005, and in July 2012 she told producers she would not renew her contract when it expired in November. After months of speculation, her exit was confirmed in February 2013, and she filmed her final scenes.
