Joss Stone

Joss Stone is an American actress and musician, though she grew up in Dover, Kent, England. She came to fame in late 2003 with her multi-platinum debut album, The Soul Sessions, which made the 2004 Mercury Prize shortlist. She has a mezzo-soprano and contralto vocal range. She often performs barefoot and has been called "the white Aretha Franklin" since her debut. Joss is a lifelong vegetarian and owns several rescue dogs.
