Joey Gibson

A slim 5'6" frame, blonde hair, and brown eyes defined Joey Gibson during her time as a Playboy model. She was born Nancy Virginia Cole on August 11, 1945, in Santa Monica, California, and is American by nationality. Her measurements were 39-24.5-36, with a bra cup size of 36D and natural breasts.

Gibson became Playboy's Playmate of the Month for June 1967. Her centerfold, shot on a beach while building a sandcastle in the nude, was photographed by Peter Gowland. At the time, she was studying psychology and business at Santa Monica City College and taking night classes in criminology at UCLA. She also worked as a hypnotist's assistant. Her gatefold pictures illustrated several brainy relaxation techniques she used at home, including sculpting with clay, wire, and plastic, and visiting a Picasso exhibition at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

After her centerfold appearance, it was revealed that she had been convicted on prostitution charges in Santa Monica. Esquire magazine gave her a Dubious Distinction Achievement Award, with the caption: "for Joey Gibson 1967 was a year of both promise and travail." That year also brought a positive turn: she was selected from over 200 aspirants to play a role in a big-budget MGM film. Today, she is a frequent guest at GlamourCon conventions in Los Angeles.
