JoAnna Garcia Swisher

JoAnna Garcia Swisher has spent three decades on screen, starting in the mid-1990s when she was just a teenager. She first stood out as Sam in the cult favorite Are You Afraid of the Dark? (1994-96) and as Vicki Appleby in the short-lived but beloved Freaks and Geeks (1999-2000). Her biggest mainstream role came on Reba, where she played Cheyenne Hart-Montgomery from 2001 to 2007, a character that made her a familiar face in American sitcoms.

Born in Tampa, Florida, this American actress has built a versatile career across television genres, from comedy in Better with You and Animal Practice to fantasy in Once Upon a Time and family drama in Sweet Magnolias. She took on the role of Lindsey Johnson in Hallmark Channel's As Luck Would Have It in 2021, and in 2023 she hosted Netflix's The Ultimatum: Queer Love. With green eyes and brown hair, she has an average build, though her on-screen roles have rarely been defined by that. At 46, she remains active in the industry, keeping her presence on Instagram where she connects with a large following.
