Jiah Khan was an actress and musician who appeared in Indian films. She worked in three Hindi movies between 2007 and 2010, carving out a brief but memorable career in Bollywood. Born in New York to Indian parents, she was raised and educated in London before moving to Mumbai to pursue acting. Her film debut came in 2007 with Ram Gopal Verma's Nishabd, a performance that earned her a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Female Debut. She later gained attention for her supporting role in Ghajini, the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2008. After a two-year break, she returned to the screen with a comic role in the romantic comedy Housefull, which became the fifth highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2010.
