She trained with the Children's Arts Theatre School in Toronto and appeared in stage productions like Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs and Grease before moving to screen work.
Her television roles include Edgemont, Melrose Place (1992), and Cult. On film, she starred in The Covenant (2006), Cloverfield (2008), and Evil Dead (2013). She also appeared in Coldplay's 2014 music video for "True Love." Jessica retired from acting in 2023, after 23 years in the industry, and now works as a producer.
