Jesse Jane

Jane entered the adult industry in August 2002 at age 22, signing an exclusive contract with Digital Playground after transitioning from bikini modeling. Her debut came within months, appearing on Showtime's Family Business at the Adult Video News awards. She remained with Digital Playground until 2014, then signed with Jules Jordan Video in 2015. She worked with studios and websites including Digital Playground, Jules Jordan Video, Brazzers, Blacked.com, Playboy TV, and Penthouse, retiring in 2017 but briefly returning in 2019 for an interracial scene with Blacked.com. Her filmography includes over 230 scenes, with standout titles like Pirates (2005), Pirates II: Stagnetti's Revenge (2008), Island Fever 3 (2004), Cheerleaders (2008), and Babysitters 2 (2011). She won multiple awards, including the 2007 AVN Award for Best All-Girl Sex Scene (Island Fever 4), the 2009 AVN Award for Best All-Girl Group Sex Scene (Cheerleaders), and the 2012 AVN Fan Award for Hottest Sex Scene (Babysitters 2). She was nominated for AVN's Female Performer of the Year multiple times and inducted into the AVN, XRCO, and NightMoves Halls of Fame. Notable co-stars include Teagan Presley, Jana Cova, Sophia Santi, Shay Jordan, Stoya, Kayden Kross, BiBi Jones, Manuel Ferrara, Mick Blue, and Mandingo, spanning solo, girl/girl, and heterosexual scenes.

Jane described herself as bisexual, a trait reflected in her diverse on-screen pairings. Her body featured several tattoos: a butterfly over flowers above her tailbone, a bunny head on her lower left abdomen (later covered by a larger butterfly in 2014), a butterfly on her left ankle, and small designs on her wrists added post-retirement. She had no widely noted piercings. She stood 5'4" with a slim build, green eyes, and blonde hair, with surgically enhanced 34D breasts redone in 2007 for high-definition films. Her hosting gigs, including the AVN Awards (2006, 2013) and XBIZ Awards (2008, 2011), and mainstream cameos in Entourage and Starsky & Hutch underscored her crossover appeal. Controversies were few, but a 2017 Rolling Stone interview saw her criticize Ron Jeremy's alleged harassment at expos. Her 2007 divorce from Rick Patrick after a five-year marriage drew minor attention. Jane passed away on January 24, 2024, at age 43, found unresponsive with her boyfriend, Brett Hasenmueller, in their Moore, Oklahoma home. The Oklahoma City Medical Examiner's Office confirmed in July 2024 that her death resulted from an accidental overdose of fentanyl and cocaine. She was survived by her son, born in 2000. She was small but immensely influential, a former Playboy Model and Penthouse Australia Pet of the Month for November 2010.
