Jeanne Galice

With a mop of dark curls and a round, retro-futuristic frame of glasses, Jeanne Galice is instantly recognizable. The 34-year-old musician, known professionally as Jain, was born in Toulouse, Occitanie, France, on February 7th, 1992. She is French and of mixed-race heritage, primarily Caucasian. Standing 5'5" with an average build, natural breasts, brown hair, and brown eyes, she pairs her quirky look with a sound that blends pop, world music, and electronic beats.

Jain's career began in 2013 when she met Mr. Flash, who introduced her to musical programming. She posted demo tracks on MySpace, where Dready noticed her and became her longtime manager. Yodelice, impressed by her work, invited her to Paris. Her first EP, Hope, dropped on June 22nd, 2015, featuring four songs, including the single "Come." The track took off in France and Spain, and its music video, released on June 2nd, 2015, to her official YouTube channel, went viral. By November 2016, "Come" was certified Diamond in France. It also found its way into Polish television as a jingle for Polsat, and appeared in the American series Santa Clarita Diet and the Amazon show Hanna.

Her debut album, Zanaka, arrived on November 6th, 2015, and her second, Souldier, on August 24th, 2018. She has been active since 2013, over 13 years, and now counts over 341,000 followers on Instagram. Her path from Toulouse to international recognition shows a steady rise in the music world.
