About Jean Jani
Jean Jani was an American model known for her work as a Playboy Playmate. She was born in Dayton, Ohio, and later became a centerfold for the magazine. Jani was featured as Playboy's Playmate of the Month for the July 1957 issue, with her centerfold photographed by Peter Gowland. In the pictorial, she was presented as a flight attendant, but in reality, she worked as a reservations clerk for United Airlines when she was discovered.
According to The Playmate Book, United Airlines fired Jani after her Playmate appearance. In a later edition of the book, Jani revealed she had completely forgotten about her Playboy work until her grown daughter showed her a copy of the first edition, which included pictures of her. She later reconnected with the Playboy community by attending some convention events. Jani passed away on October 26, 2021, at the age of 89.
