Janne Schafer

Janne Schafer is a German breaststroke specialist from Henstedt-Ulzburg, Schleswig-Holstein. At 6'3" (190 cm), she brings an unusually long reach to the pool, a physical edge that suits her event. Her average build and natural physique keep her frame functional rather than bulky, while her blonde hair and blue eyes are familiar sights on the blocks. Active in swimming since her youth, she has spent years refining the technical timing that breaststroke demands. She was born on Thursday, 28th of May 1981, and represents a generation of European swimmers who prioritized efficiency over raw power. Few in her specialty combine such height with a natural stroke, and her longevity in the sport speaks to a deliberate, measured approach to training.
