Jama Williamson

Jama Williamson is an American actress with 28 years of experience in television, theater, and film. Born in Evansville, Indiana, she graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a BA in Communications and Theater. She then trained at the Circle in the Square acting conservatory in New York City, where she began her career in Off-Broadway productions, including world premieres like "Eat the Runt," "Spanish Girl," and the cult hit musical "Debbie Does Dallas." Her Broadway debut came with "Losing Louie" at the Manhattan Theater Club, directed by Jerry Zaks. After moving to Los Angeles with her husband, Curtis Mark Williams, she landed recurring roles on popular TV shows.

On television, Jama has appeared in recurring roles on NBC's "Parks and Recreation" and "The Good Place," as well as ABC's "Single Parents."
