Edited by the community

With a slim build and black hair, Ivi Adamou stands 5'8" (172 cm) and has brown eyes. Born in Agia Napa, Cyprus on 24 November 1993, she is a Cypriot musician of Caucasian ethnicity. She rose to fame after participating in the second season of the Greek version of The X Factor, where she was mentored by Giorgos Theofanous. Right after her elimination, she secured a recording contract with Sony Music Greece. She gained further recognition by representing Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with the song "La La Love." Her debut EP, Kalokairi Stin Kardia (2010), was released shortly after her contract, and later that year she collaborated with the Spiros Lambrou Choir for the holiday EP Christougenna Me Tin Ivi Adamou (2010), released as Christmas with Ivi Adamou abroad. Her debut studio album, San Ena Oniro (2011), included hits like "Krata Ta Matia Sou Klista," "Kano Mia Efhi," and "Voltes St Asteria." A follow-up album, Eho Ourano, was scheduled for 2013 but never materialized, and her second studio album, Diko Mou, was eventually set for release on 28 November 2022. She has also lent her voice to songs for films such as Barbie in A Mermaid Tale and Barbie: A Fashion Fairytale, and made her theatrical debut in 2015 in the musical Barbarella: the 80's Musical.

Her influences include Beyoncé, Whitney Houston, and Helena Paparizou, and she has been described as the "Pop Queen" or "Teen Idol" in Greece, called the "Next Big Thing" since her X Factor days. Her first EP was certified gold for selling over 60,000 copies in Greece, while her second holiday EP was certified platinum for selling over 15,000 copies in Portugal. Since 2010, she has received several nominations at the MAD Video Music Awards and the Madame Figaro Awards, was named the best Cypriot female performer in 2010 and 2012, and was awarded as the best singer in Cyprus in 2012, the first time that award was given. Adamou has also been involved in charity work, including "Everything I Can," a campaign for cervical cancer prevention, and was appointed as the Young Ambassador for the rights of children by the HFC-UNCRC Policy Center.

Adamou is the second of three sisters, with an older sister, Despina, and a younger one, Cleopatra. She was born and raised in Ayia Napa, Cyprus, and traveled back and forth between Cyprus and Greece during her X Factor participation. In 2011, she began studying sociology at Panteion University in Athens, where she eventually moved permanently. In 2015, she graduated with a diploma from the Department of Sociology. Her personal life has drawn media attention; in 2011, she denied rumors of a relationship with Michalis Kouinelis from Stavento, but in 2014 Kouinelis revealed that they had been together for about a year and lived together in Athens while she was studying. In December 2017, she announced she was expecting her first child, and moved with Kouinelis to his hometown, Alexandroupolis. On 12 June 2018, she gave birth to their daughter, Anatoli-Nefeli.
