Ivete Sangalo

Ivete Sangalo is a Brazilian singer-songwriter, TV host, and occasional actress whose career spans over three decades. She started performing in the early 1990s, and her powerful voice and charismatic live shows have made her a household name in Brazil and beyond. Her music is particularly popular in Portugal, and she has sold 25 million albums, winning 4 Latin Grammy Awards along the way.

Sangalo recorded six albums with Banda Eva before launching a successful solo career with seven more albums. Her debut show took place in Ondina, Salvador, in August 1992, where she won the Dorival Caymmi trophy, often called the Grammy of Bahia music. She began singing and playing guitar as a child at school, laying the groundwork for her future stardom.
