Isabelle Fuhrman is an American actress, influencer, producer, voice actress, and writer. She was born on February 25, 1997, in Washington, D.C., and began acting at age seven in Atlanta, Georgia. Her screen debut came in the drama Hounddog opposite Dakota Fanning. At just ten, she was cast as the lead in the 2009 horror classic Orphan, following a nationwide search. Her performance earned praise and set the stage for a career that includes the Hunger Games franchise and Showtime's Masters of Sex.
Fuhrman's portrayal of Alex Dall in The Novice (2021) won her the Tribeca Film Festival Award for Best Actress and a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award. Critics called the performance a "Daniel Day-Lewis transformation" and "the year's best performance." In 2022, she returned to the role of Esther in Orphan: First Kill, reprising a part she played as a child, 13 years after the original. She also voiced a role in Studio Ghibli's From Up on Poppy Hill and led an all-female cast in an off-Broadway adaptation of Macbeth, all while studying at Stanford and taking courses at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
Fuhrman has upcoming projects including Horizon: An American Saga, Unit 234, Littlemouth, and Wish You Were. She started her own production company, What If? Productions, in 2019 and has been developing her own projects. She lives in Los Angeles and is an ultra marathon runner, triathlete, guitar player, and certified holistic birth doula. She's also a gourmet cook and western-horseback rider. With green eyes and black hair, she stands 5'4" with a slim build. Her Instagram following is 696k.
