Irish Mccalla

She was American and Caucasian, with blonde hair, blue eyes, and a tall frame at 5'10". Her natural figure measured 39–24–38 with a 36D bra cup. By 1952 she was a popular pinup model, known as a "Vargas Girl" for artist Alberto Vargas. She appeared in the film River Goddesses, which featured models in Glen Canyon. In 1955 she took the title role in the television series Sheena, Queen of the Jungle, co-starring with Chris Drake. She also acted in other projects during her 46-year career, from 1950 to 1996.

McCalla married insurance salesman Patrick McIntyre in 1951; they had two sons and divorced in 1957. The following year she married English actor and James Joyce/Sherlock Holmes scholar Patrick Horgan, divorcing in 1969. In 1982 she married Chuck Rowland, a national sales manager for an auto-glass firm, and moved to Prescott, Arizona. They separated in 1989.

As an artist, she produced oil paintings and collector plates, and sold prints. She belonged to Woman Artists of the American West, and her work was displayed at the Los Angeles Museum of Arts and Sciences. She made appearances at conventions, as late as 1996, wearing a faux-leopard Sheena costume. She died on February 1, 2002, at age 73, from a stroke and complications from her fourth brain tumor.
