Ines Gaviria

Inés Elvira Gaviria Escobar, known professionally as Ines Gaviria, was born on July 12, 1979, in New York, New York. She is a Colombian-American singer-songwriter of Latin ethnicity, now based in Miami, Florida. Her debut album, released in June 2005 on the Respek Label and distributed by Universal Records, earned her a nomination for the 2006 Latin Grammy Awards. She is the sister of Colombian producer and composer José Gaviria, and she is married to political scientist Alba Lucía Pava, with whom she has a daughter named Salomé.
