Ida Ljungqvist

Tanzanian former Playboy model Ida Ljungqvist has a story that spans continents. She was born in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and before turning 18, she had already lived in more countries than most people visit in a lifetime. Her father's work with UNICEF took the family to Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, France, and Denmark. She speaks three languages, holds a degree in fashion design and marketing, and has plans to study economics.

Ida entered the Playboy world in 2008, at age 26, and was named Playboy Playmate of the Month for March 2008. The following year, she earned the title of Playboy Playmate of the Year 2009. She also posed for Playboy Argentina as Playmate of the Month in August 2010. Her career spanned about three years, during which she appeared on nine covers and in nine photosets before retiring in 2011.

Ida's heritage is mixed-race, primarily Black; her father is Swedish and her mother Tanzanian, which made her the first Playboy Playmate born in Africa. She remains committed to charity work, a passion she says she inherited from her father. With a petite frame, she stands 5'4" and weighs 108 lbs. She has brown hair and brown eyes.
