Biography
About Ice Spice
Ice Spice is an American rapper, influencer, and TikTok star from the Bronx, New York. Born Isis Gaston on January 1, 2000, she grew up in the Fordham Road area and is the oldest of five siblings. Her father, a former underground rapper, is African American, and her mother, who had her at 17, is Dominican. Her parents met at a McDonald's and divorced when she was two, so she spent much of her childhood with grandparents and cousins. At age seven, she started listening to hip hop, inspired by artists like Lil' Kim, and later wrote poetry and freestyle raps through elementary and high school.
She attended a Catholic high school in Yonkers and later enrolled at SUNY Purchase, where she met producer RiotUSA. She dropped out to pursue music and released her debut single "Bully" in March 2021, after a video of her doing the "Buss It" challenge went viral. Her early tracks gained traction on SoundCloud, and her 2022 single "Munch (Feelin' U)" blew up after Drake played it on his Sirius XM station. The song went viral on TikTok and charted on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Bubbling Under Hot 100. That same year, she signed with 10K Projects and Capitol Records, released "Bikini Bottom," and featured on B-Lovee's "One Time." In 2023, she appeared in a Dunkin' commercial with Ben Affleck.
Ice Spice is also known for her social media presence, with 11.4 million Instagram followers, 13.0 million TikTok followers, and 2.9 million YouTube subscribers. She is friends with Taylor Swift and often attends Kansas City Chiefs games with her. She stands 5'4", has an average build, and sports a red butterfly tattoo on her left lower arm. Her natural curves and 34C bra size are part of her look. She identifies as bisexual and continues to make music and content. That's her story so far.
