Huma Abedin

Huma Abedin is an American political staffer and activist with a career spanning decades in public service. She was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in 1976, and grew up in a family with Middle Eastern roots. Abedin first gained national attention as a close aide to Hillary Clinton, serving as deputy chief of staff at the U.S. State Department. She later became vice chair of Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign. Abedin also worked as traveling chief of staff during Clinton's 2008 primary run. Her personal life drew media scrutiny when she married former U.S. Representative Anthony Weiner; the couple later separated. Abedin is 5'9" and has a slim build. She continues to be active in political and civic circles.
