Helena Costa

Costa is best known for playing Mónica Mello e Teixeira, the popstar and main villain of the third season of that youth series, which aired on TVI from September 2005 to September 2006. She later appeared in numerous Portuguese telenovelas, including "Doce Fugitiva," "Feitiço de Amor," "Anjo Meu," "Mundo ao Contrário," "Santa Bárbara," "A Herdeira," and "Amar Demais." She also acted in series like "Ele é Ela" and "37," the telefilm "República," and the first season of "Água de Mar." Most of these were broadcast on TVI or RTP1, the public service channel.

When she first learned about her "Morangos com Açúcar" character and the clothes she would wear, she was afraid but said, "I quickly got used to that." In real life, she enjoys kitesurf and bodyboard. She is 5'8", weighs 126 lbs, and has a slim build with measurements of 34–24–35. She has brown hair and brown eyes, and her breasts are enhanced. Costa dated Diogo Machado da Silva Pereira Coutinho from 2013 to 2015, then dental surgeon Luís Pereira da Silva from 2016 until April 2017. She married businessman Frederico Formigal in a civil ceremony on July 23rd, 2018, and in July 2019 they became parents of twin girls, Mercedes and Maria do Mar, born in Lisbon.
