About Hannah Hoekstra
Hannah Hoekstra is a Dutch actress and voice actress. She was born in Rotterdam, South Holland, Netherlands, and is of Dutch and Frisian descent. Hoekstra studied at the Amsterdam Theater Academy from 2006 and graduated in 2010. During her training, she participated in the play Underground, directed by Johan Simons. In 2011, she made her TV debut with a small role in the series Flikken Maastricht.
Her breakthrough arrived in 2012 when she was cast in Sacha Polak's film Hemel. In it, she plays a sensual beauty with signs of hypersexuality. The film screened at the Berlin film festival and received the FIPRESCI prize. For her performance, Hoekstra won a Golden Calf Award at the Netherlands Film Festival and was nominated for a Rembrandt Award. She was also named a recipient of the Shooting Stars Award, presented by the European Film Promotion board at the 67th Berlin International Film Festival.
Hoekstra is the model for video game characters Aloy and Elizabet Sobeck in both Horizon Zero Dawn (2017) and Horizon Forbidden West (2022), and also served as the model for the character Beta in the latter game. She has been active in the industry since 2011, with 15 years of experience. Hoekstra stands 5'4" with a slim build, brown hair, and green eyes. She has natural breasts and has performed full nudity in her work.
