About Hannah Graaf

Edited by the community

Blonde and blue-eyed, Hannah Graaf stands 5'8" with a slim 36–25–36 figure. Born on 31 August 1978 in Göteborg, Sweden, she is a Swedish glamour model and musician. Raised in Kungsängen, Stockholm County, she grew up singing in the Swedish Pentecostal Church, and her tall stature led her to start modeling in her teens. She has a twin sister, Magdalena Graaf, and together they formed the Eurodance duo Graaf, later known as The Graaf Sisters. Their debut yielded the Swedish No. 1 hit "You Got (What I Want)" in 1998, produced with Christer Sandelin, Tommy Ekman, and Rob 'n' Raz. After one record, the sisters stepped back from music, and Hannah briefly reinvented herself in 2000 by dyeing her hair brown and wearing brown contacts, appearing on the cover of Cafe magazine.

Hannah's career spans modeling, music, and television. She regularly appeared in men's magazines with her sister, courting controversy that brought them publicity. In 1998, they paused modeling to focus on music, and in 2004 they attempted a comeback with a pictorial for FHM magazine in Los Angeles. On television, Hannah hosted the Idol 2007 aftershow "Idol eftersnack" with Doreen Månsson, interviewing contestants voted off the show. In 2006, she performed the song "Naughty Boy" in the Swedish Melodifestivalen, Sweden's selection for Eurovision. Her personal life includes three children: son William, born in 2001, with Swedish producer Andreas Carlsson; son Mio, born in 2003, with then-husband Daniel Boudal; and daughters Liv (born 2009) and Vida (born 2012) with her current husband, Peter Karyd, whom she married in 2008. She divorced Boudal in 2006. She is also the ex-sister-in-law of Swedish footballer Magnus Hedman.

Hannah and Magdalena have also made Time Magazine's List of European Heroes for their charity work. They donated earnings from their modeling to aid orphanages in Nagpur, central India, and built two orphanages and a school. Their commitment to charity, they say, stems from their Pentecostal upbringing and their mother, Linda Bergling, a missionary in Asia and Africa. Hannah's journey from blonde bombshell to brunette and back reflects her versatility, yet her roots in music and philanthropy remain constant. She is currently active on Instagram with 120k followers.
