Greta Thyssen

Greta Thyssen, born in Hareskovby, Denmark, in 1927, began her journey as a beauty queen after being crowned Miss Denmark 1951. She traded her European home for Hollywood, and the fresh-faced brunette quickly reinvented herself as a buxom, blonde bombshell. With measurements reported at 38–24–36 (B–W–H), she became a favorite of legendary pin-up photographer Russ Meyer, appearing in numerous men's magazine spreads.

Her Hollywood career was modest in scale but varied. Thyssen appeared in B-movies like 'The Beast of Budapest' and 'Terror Is A Man,' and she starred in three Three Stooges shorts: 'Quiz Whiz,' 'Pies and Guys,' and 'Sappy Bullfighters.' She also made television appearances, including a spot on 'Dragnet' and a role on 'Perry Mason,' and she performed on stage in the swinging 'Pajama Tops.' She worked in film and television until the early seventies. Thyssen was reported to have had an affair with Cary Grant, a detail that added to her allure. She was Danish and Caucasian, with blonde hair and green eyes. She stood 5'7" and maintained a slim physique. She retired in New York, where she lived until her death in 2018 at age 90. Her life bridged the worlds of European glamour and American stardom.
