Glynis Barber, born on October 25, 1955, in Durban, South Africa, is a South African actress known for her role as Harriet Makepeace in the 1980s police drama "Dempsey and Makepeace." She moved to London at 18 to train at the Mountview Academy of Theatre, and her career has spanned over four decades, from 1978 to the present.
Glynis first gained attention in the BBC sci-fi series "Blake's 7," and went on to appear in films like "Tangier" (1982), "The Wicked Lady" (1983), and "Edge of Sanity" (1989).
