Biography
About Gemma Garrett
Glamour modelling and politics rarely mix, but Gemma Garrett has made a habit of pairing unlikely careers. She is a British model and TV host from Belfast, Northern Ireland, whose pageant titles and public stunts have kept her in the tabloids for years.
Garrett was born on 25 September 1981 and now holds the Miss Great Britain and Miss Belfast titles. She became the official face of the Formula 1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone, and her modelling work has appeared in ZOO and the Daily Star. She also served as a body double for Sienna Miller.
Her film career took her to the big screen alongside Dolph Lundgren in Direct Contact, released in 2008. But it was politics that made her a household name. In 2008 she stood in the Crewe and Nantwich by-election for her own 'Beauties for Britain' party, finishing last with 113 votes. Later that year she ran again in Haltemprice and Howden, this time for the Miss Great Britain Party, and placed fifth with 521 votes. Her stated goal was to make Westminster less dowdy, a promise that earned more laughs than votes.
At 44, she remains a blonde, blue-eyed presence in British media. Short and plain. She has an average build, enhanced breasts, and no tattoos. Her public career has been a mix of glamour, gimmick, and genuine ambition.
