About Gail Stanton
Gail Stanton, born November 19, 1954, in Memphis, Tennessee, was an American nude model and actress best remembered as Playboy's Playmate of the Month for June 1978. Her centerfold, photographed by David Chan, came after she first appeared in an April 1977 layout titled 'Girls of the New South.' Stanton's Playboy credits extended internationally, including Playboy France, Japan, Brazil, and Italy. She stood 5'1" with a slim build and natural 32C breasts, a combination that was popular in her era. Stanton died on November 21, 1996, just two days after her 42nd birthday, from complications of a colon blockage. Her death in Memphis ended a career that had made her a familiar face in men's magazines of the late 1970s and early 1980s.
