About Gabriella Giammanco
Journalist and former politician Gabriella Giammanco was born on 13 June 1977 in Palermo, Italy. She graduated in Communication Sciences and started her career working for several local TV stations and TG4. Since 2008, she has served as Vice President of the Italy-USA Foundation.
Giammanco was first elected to the Chamber of Deputies in 2008 and re-elected in 2013 with The People of Freedom party. In 2017, she became press attaché for Forza Italia in Sicily, and in 2018 she was elected to the Italian Senate, where she serves on the Committee of the European Union. In 2019, she ran as a candidate for the European Parliament with Forza Italia. She has been active in Italian and European politics for over two decades.
