About Francoise Boufhal
Francoise Boufhal is an English actress, former glamour model, and presenter with over two decades in the entertainment industry. Born on December 18, 1988, in Hexham, Northumberland, she grew up in Stocksfield and later moved to Newcastle Upon Tyne. She attended Broomley First school and Ponteland Middle school, where she was bullied, an experience she says fueled her ambition. Her acting career began at age 11 when she joined The Live Theatre company in Newcastle, which led to her first major role as 'Ellie Baines' in the BBC1 series Byker Grove. She auditioned several times but was initially deemed 'too sexy' until a part was created for her. She also appeared in a pilot for a children's cookery show called 'GRUBBS' for Discovery Kids, but it was cancelled after the producer's death. At 16, she signed with a Newcastle modeling agency while studying at Gosforth High School.
At 5'5" with a 28H bra size and slim build, she was often rejected by fashion houses for being too short and having an 'unusual' figure. Instead, she joined Girl Management, a London glamour agency, and later moved to Samantha Bond Management. She turned down offers for topless shoots, including one from Bryan Adams for Italian Playboy. Her work has appeared in Nuts, Zoo, and Maxim, where she was the April 2009 cover girl. The Daily Star called her their 'latest discovery,' comparing her to Kelly Brook and Lucy Pinder. She also featured in a non-pictorial article in the June 2010 issue of Playboy USA.
In April 2009, Rio Ferdinand signed her as co-presenter for his digital magazine 5, where she interviewed celebrities like Danny Dyer, Alan Carr, and Ashley Cole.
