Filipa Areosa is a Portuguese actress with a career that spans over two decades, starting when she was a teenager. She was born on July 12th, 1990, in Santarém, Portugal, and her journey in television began with a casting in the summer of 2011. That September, she made her official debut as a TV actress in the ninth and final season of the Portuguese youth series "Morangos com Açúcar," where she played the protagonist Ana Rita Soares. When the series ended in September 2012, she joined the main cast of the telenovela "Mundo ao Contrário," aired on TVI in 2013 as Lara Malta Carvalho.
Between 2013 and 2014, Filipa appeared in "Os Filhos do Rock," a series about Portuguese rock music in the 1980s, broadcast on RTP1, where she played Beatriz Tomás de Almeida. She returned to telenovelas with "Mar Salgado" (September 2014 to September 2015) on SIC, as Madalena Correia Pelicano. From September 2016 to September 2017, she starred in "Amor Maior" on SIC as Mafalda Resende, and also played the protagonist Cristina Lindo in the series "Aqui Tão Longe" on RTP1 in 2016.
From September 2019 until July 2020, Filipa was part of the main cast of the first season of "Nazaré" on SIC, as Bárbara Soares, one of the telenovela's main villains.
