Biography
About Evelyn Francisco
Evelyn Francisco was an American silent era film actress who began her career as one of Mack Sennett's Bathing Beauties. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, she was one of three sisters who all pursued acting, alongside Betty and Margaret Francisco. Her time on screen was brief, spanning from 1923 to 1929, but it placed her in some notable productions of the era.
In 1924, she appeared in The Goof, a seven-reel farce directed by William Beaudine, where she played one of Spike Malone's diving girls. That same year, she was among the Sennett beauties performing in Hollywood Follies at the Philharmonic Auditorium, presenting an act called All Wet led by Harry Langdon and Thelma Parr. In 1925, she landed a significant role in Madame Behave, the first production of Julian Eltinge for Christie Studios, and that August she was presented alongside her sisters at the Greenwich Village Cafe in Hollywood.
A memorable moment came in February 1927, when she wore a novelty bathing suit made of Russian ermine for a fashion pageant at the Hotel Vista del Arroyo in Pasadena. The garment was designed and made by Colburn's of South Flower Street in Los Angeles. She passed away in 1963 at the age of 58.
