Evanka Osmak

Slim with blonde hair and blue eyes, Evanka Osmak has become a familiar face in Canadian sports broadcasting. She serves as a veteran anchor at Rogers Sportsnet, a role she has held since joining the network in 2007. Her path to television began in an unexpected place: civil engineering at Queens University. After studying engineering, she worked in Arizona before landing at Sportsnet in Toronto. Evanka was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey, and raised in Oakville, Ontario, giving her both American and Canadian roots. Now 45, she brings decades of experience to her reporting. Her career shows how passion for sports can lead down an unconventional road, one that started with blueprints and ended up in the broadcast booth.
