Eva Rivas

Russian-Armenian singer and model Eva Rivas was born on 13 July 1987 in Rostov, Russian Federation. She is 39 years old, stands 6'4", and has a slim build with brown hair and brown eyes. Her real name is Valerya Reshetnikova-Tsaturyan, and her grandmother was of Greek descent.

Rivas began her career in 2010 around age 22. That year she won the Armenian National Final on 14 February and represented Armenia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song "Apricot Stone." The song sparked debate over whether its lyrics carried a political message about the Armenian Genocide. Composer Karen Kavaleryan stated it had nothing to do with the genocide, though another composer, Yakup Mutlu, interpreted it otherwise. She later hoped to represent Armenia again in Eurovision 2012, but the country chose not to participate that year.
