About Esme Creed-Miles

Edited by the community

With slim frame, brown hair, and green eyes, Esme Creed-Miles stands 5'5". She is a British actress who has been working in the industry since childhood. Born in London, England, she began her career at just seven years old, appearing as Shirley Temple in Harmony Korine's Mister Lonely (2007). Her next film role came a decade later in Clio Barnard's Dark River (2017), opposite her mother, actress Samantha Morton.

Creed-Miles is perhaps best known for starring as the title character in the Amazon Prime series Hanna (2019–2021). For that role, she trained in martial arts for six hours a day over several months to prepare for the fight scenes. The Atlantic praised her performance, noting that she brought "emotional vulnerability and physical power" to the character, and that she communicated Hanna's intelligence as "fleet and observant and hyperalert." She also played Iris Whittle in the Paramount+ period drama The Doll Factory (2023), and has been cast as Delirium in the upcoming second season of The Sandman on Netflix.

Her film credits include Pond Life (2018), Silver Haze (2023), and The Thicket (2024). She also wrote and directed the short film Jamie (2020). In 2021, she was nominated for the Critics' Choice Super Award for Best Actress in an Action Series for Hanna. Creed-Miles identifies as bisexual and is also a musician and feminist. She is the daughter of actors Charlie Creed-Miles and Samantha Morton. She stands 5'5" with a slim build, and her measurements are 32-23-31.
