About Esha Deol
Indian actress Esha Deol began her career in Hindi films with the romantic thriller Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe (2002), a role that earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. She is the elder daughter of Bollywood actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini, and her younger sister is Ahana. She also has half-brothers, actors Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, and her first cousin is actor Abhay Deol. Born in Bombay (now Mumbai) on 2 November 1981, she comes from a mixed heritage: her father was a Punjabi Jat and her mother is a Tamil Hindu Iyengar Brahmin. She is fluent in Tamil, Hindi, and English.
After a few films that didn't perform well, Esha Deol found success in a string of notable projects. She appeared in the political film Aayutha Ezhuthu (2004), the action thrillers Dhoom (2004) and Dus (2005), the horror film Kaal (2005), and the comedy No Entry (2005). However, this period was followed by a setback and a hiatus from acting. She made a return to the screen with the streaming series Rudra: The Edge of Darkness (2022) and Hunter Tootega Nahi Todega (2023).
