Elizabeth Banks

Elizabeth Banks stands 5'5" with a slim build, blonde hair, and blue eyes. She is a 52-year-old American actress, director, and producer of Caucasian ethnicity. Born on February 10, 1974, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, she began her career in 1998 and has been active for 28 years.

Banks is best known for playing Effie Trinket in The Hunger Games series (2012–2015) and Gail Abernathy-McKadden in the Pitch Perfect series (2012–2017). She made her directorial debut with Pitch Perfect 2 (2015), whose $69 million opening-weekend gross set a record for a first-time director. She then directed, wrote, produced, and starred in Charlie's Angels (2019), and directed and produced the horror comedy Cocaine Bear (2023). Her acting credits include the Spider-Man trilogy (2002–2007), Seabiscuit (2003), The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005), Zack and Miri Make a Porno (2008), and The Lego Movie (2014). On television, she earned three Primetime Emmy nominations for her recurring roles on 30 Rock and Modern Family, and she has hosted the ABC revival of Press Your Luck since 2019.

Banks founded the production company Brownstone Productions in October 2002 with her husband Max Handelman. They met in college and have been married since 2003, collaborating both as parents and business partners.
