About Ekaterina Gordeeva
Russian figure skater Ekaterina Gordeeva was born in Moscow, Russian Federation, on 28 May 1971. She took up skating at a young age and became active in the sport in 1984, when she was around 13 years old. Over a career spanning more than 40 years, she has remained a prominent figure in the sport.
She is best known for her partnership with Sergei Grinkov, who was also her husband. Together, they won gold at the 1988 and 1994 Olympic Games and claimed four World Championship titles in 1986, 1987, 1989, and 1990. She has been active in figure skating from 1984 through the present day. Katia, as she is affectionately known, is a natural brunette with blue eyes. She stands 5'1" tall and has a slim build.
