Edna Purviance

Edna Purviance was an American actress from Paradise Valley, Nevada. She began her career in 1915 and remained active until 1927, a twelve-year span that started when she was about nineteen. Over those years she appeared in numerous films, becoming a familiar face to audiences of the silent era. She stood 5'2" tall with brown hair and hazel eyes, and she was of Caucasian ethnicity. Her natural figure and straight sexuality were part of her public persona, though her work on screen is what truly defined her legacy. Purviance passed away on January 11, 1958, at the age of 62. Her performances continue to be studied by film historians and enthusiasts alike.
