Drea De Matteo

Drea initially pursued directing at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, influenced by a childhood moment when she was brought onstage during a performance of "Cats" and dazzled by the stage lights. But once in school, acting classes captured her interest, and she switched her focus. After a screen debut in an obscure independent and a small part in Meet Prince Charming (1999), she auditioned for a one-episode role on HBO's The Sopranos. She impressed the producers so much that the role was expanded, and she became a regular as Adriana La Cerva, the girlfriend of Christopher Moltisanti. Her portrayal earned her an Emmy in 2004. That same year, she starred in Joey, a spin-off of Friends. She has also appeared in films like 'R Xmas and Prey for Rock & Roll.

Drea describes herself as shy but also a wild, multi-tattooed party-girl who uses strong language and prefers jeans to dressing up. Her tattoos include an AC/DC tattoo on her lower abdomen, a skull and anchor on her lower back, a band on her right wrist, a heart on the back of her left shoulder, a star on her left wrist and left middle finger, and a spade on her upper left wrist. She owned a rock and roll vintage clothing store in the East Village called "Filth Mart" for several years, later closing it and considering reopening in the Los Angeles area. She considers actor Vince Vaughn like a brother. In September 2022, she announced she would open an OnlyFans account, which went live in August 2023. As of July 2026, she has 557,000 Instagram followers.
