About Dove Cameron
Dove Cameron, born Chloe Celeste Hosterman, is an American actress, singer, and influencer who has been active since 2007. She first became a household name playing the dual lead in Disney Channel's Liv and Maddie, a role that earned her a Daytime Emmy Award. She then headlined the Descendants film franchise, which ran from 2015 to 2021.
Beyond her Disney work, Cameron has appeared in films like Barely Lethal, Dumplin', and Vengeance, as well as the live TV musical Hairspray Live! and the Marvel Rising animated franchise. In 2023, she released her debut EP, Alchemical: Volume 1, whose lead single "Boyfriend" went double platinum and cracked the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100. She is also a YouTuber and TikTok star. At 5'2" with a slim build and natural 32C bust, she brings a petite presence to her varied roles.
Cameron has been open about her sexuality, coming out as queer in 2020, and she identifies as bisexual. Her personal life has been covered closely: she was briefly engaged to Ryan McCartan in 2016, later dated Thomas Doherty, and became engaged to Damiano David in October 2025. She also carries a collection of over a dozen tattoos, many with personal meaning.
Her ink includes a rose-and-revolver piece reflecting her views on gun control, a cursive "ride swift" on her hip, and phrases like "ALCHEMICAL," "SHE," and "none of this is real." She has matching wrist tattoos reading "celestial" and "body," plus a sword tattoo she got on her 26th birthday. A self-described Marvel babe, she continues acting and singing while building a strong social media following. Cameron is also of mixed European descent, part French, Russian, and Hungarian. She stands out as a rare mainstream star who is candid about her body art and her journey in the public eye.
