About Dorian Dennis
Dorian Dennis was an American performer who moved through several worlds of adult entertainment, from burlesque to exotic dance. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree from New York University before her dancing career took off. In the early 1950s, she began modeling for men's magazines and worked with the controversial fetish photographer Irving Klaw.
Dorian started stripping in 1953 and quickly rose to become one of the top 15 exotic dancers in the country. Her career spanned nearly two decades, during which she performed in burlesque and exotic dance. She retired in 1969. She was 5'5" with black hair and brown eyes. Dorian died of cancer on December 8, 1970, at age 46. Her work remains part of the history of mid-century American burlesque and modeling.
