Debbie Linden
Biography
About Debbie Linden
British glamour model Debbie Linden was born on February 22, 1961, in Glasgow, Scotland. She was the daughter of cabaret entertainer Neil Linden and Rosemary Linden. Debbie attended stage school and initially wanted to be a dancer, studying both tap and ballroom dancing to prepare for a career in show business. Instead, she became a topless model and a Page 3 girl, a path that later led to acting.
Linden began acting in films and TV shows in the late 1970s. She is probably best known for her recurring role as Old Mr. Grace's saucy secretary on the hit comedy series Are You Being Served? (1972). Her career was marked by both the glamour of the modeling world and the challenges she faced personally. Starting at age 13, she battled anorexia and struggled with drug and alcohol addiction, which began when she took slimming pills to control her weight.
Tragically, Debbie died at home on October 5, 1997, at the age of 36, from a heroin overdose. Her boyfriend, Russell Ainsworth, was acquitted of manslaughter but was sentenced to two and a half years in prison for supplying the drugs that killed her. She had blonde hair, blue eyes, and a slim build, with natural D-cup breasts. Her life, though short, left a mark in the world of British glamour modeling and television comedy.
